Qatar Duty Free celebrates Qatar National Day with special offers for its customers
Qatar Duty Free (QDF) and Hamad International Airport (DOH) have marked Qatar National Day through a variety of cultural activities and special offers for passengers from December 16 to 18.
As the airport connects millions of passengers across the globe, it also serves as a gateway to the State of Qatar and its rich heritage and culture. Passengers travelling through DOH were treated to live performances by talented Qatari musicians filled the air with traditional melodies, along with the Ardha dance, which symbolizes unity and strength, all showcasing the nation’s cultural pride.
Delivering a “sense of place”, the Souq Al Matar, located near the airport’s ORCHARD hosted a series of cultural activities including henna artists, traditional games and a falconer. Traditional crafters also demonstrated live bisht tailoring, wicker weaving, fishnet weaving, Dhow boat making, and sadu making.

Children were encouraged to unlock their creativity with festive cookie painting and the airport distributed sweets infused with local flavors such as dates and saffron, offering a taste of Qatar. Passengers also received Qatari flags, allowing them to share in the national spirit. Traditional coffee ‘gahwa’ was also distributed at Souq Al Matar, signifying hospitality and generosity synonymous with the Qatari culture.
To mark the occasion, QDF offered passengers traveling through Hamad International Airport special offers starting from 18% off across all QDF retail outlets from December 17 to 19.
