Fazer’s Travel Retail novelties bring indulgence, joy and Northern magic to global travelers

Fazer Geisha continues to inspire with its elegant and indulgent chocolate creations

Iconic Finnish company Fazer has revealed its latest travel retail confectionery offering for 2026–2027. With a focus on indulgence, gifting, and joyful snacking, the new lineup features popular classics and innovations that cater to diverse traveler needs.

International growth is one of Fazer’s strategic priorities and travel retail plays a central role in making Fazer’s high-quality products and beloved brands known across the globe.

Looking ahead, most of Fazer’s chocolate products will be manufactured in Fazer’s new chocolate factory built in Lahti, Finland, which is scheduled to begin operations in 2028. The new facility is designed to meet consumer needs across various international markets, offering new capabilities in production as well as in packaging.

Kari Kuikka, Director, Travel Retail at Fazer, said, “I very much look forward to the capabilities that the new chocolate factory will bring and the opportunities that arise to catering to consumer needs in various geographical markets. We will be able to produce new, exciting products with new kinds of structures, layers and formats, and I am most certain that these will bring joy to our international consumers too.”

The investment of approximately €400 million is the largest in Fazer’s history and significant also from a Finnish food industry perspective. It is estimated to boost Finnish food exports, of which Fazer already currently accounts for 15%. Designed to be carbon neutral and fully electrified, the factory represents one of the most modern chocolate production facilities in the world.

The new factory will bring clear efficiency and sustainability gains to Fazer’s chocolate production, but despite the changes, taste and quality will continue to be the beacons of Fazer’s chocolates, and brands such as Geisha and Dumle will continue to delight chocolate lovers all over the world.

Geisha – A moment of harmony, now in new formats

Fazer Geisha continues to inspire with its elegant and indulgent chocolate creations, that encourage moments of mindfulness and indulgence in everyday life.

“Geisha is Fazer’s most international brand. We are proud to tell that Geisha has been chosen as a finalist in two different categories, in Best Confectionery and Food Product and Best Airport Retail Initiative Instore category in Travel Retail Awards,” Kuikka said.
