Bahrain Duty Free Departures in the new terminal building at Bahrain International Airport
Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex has reported a net profit of BD5,015,428 (US$13.27 million) for 2024, an increase of 17% over the previous year.
At a meeting of its Board of Directors, Abdulla Buhindi, Board Chairman, noted a net profit of BD344,327 (US$ US$913,600) during the fourth quarter of 2024, representing a decrease of 41.1% over Q$ 2023, mainly due to impairment of property and land.
For the full year ended December 31, the travel retailer’s income reached BD3,447,428 (US$9.14 million), an increase of 44.3% over the previous year.
Profits from investments recorded BD6,053,800 (US$16.06 million), an increase of 17.7%. Shareholders equity for 2024 declined by 2.1% and total assets by 1.9%.
