Montréal Duty Free has unveiled a vibrant new art installation at YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, hand painted by talented team member Dieujuste Marc Alexandre.
The installation, located near gate 63 in the international terminal, captures the energetic and unique spirit of Montréal and was painted by Alexandre over the course of several weeks.

The new mural offers a joyful, creative space for passengers to enjoy before they embark on their onward journey, and for the team at Montréal Duty Free, it offers the opportunity to bring the “joy on your way” experience outside of the traditional retail space. The design includes playful nods to the city of Montréal, captured in a bold colorful display that helps to slow down the passenger journey for all the right reasons. It serves as an exciting photo-ready backdrop for passengers who want to capture a final piece of local flair before departing.
“We are constantly exploring new ways and opportunities to engage with passengers and deliver joy”, said Katherine Sullivan, ARI North America Head of Marketing.
“It’s about enhancing the overall airport experience, and luckily this ethos is shared by our partners at YUL who support us in these new and unique activations. We are very proud of what Alexandre has created and the feedback from passengers has been so positive throughout the process. We are excited to continue exploring new, creative ways to create a memorable airport experience for all.”
