María Taratuty with the Women Economic Forum "Iconic Woman Leader 2025" award

On October 20, within the framework of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) Argentina, María Taratuty was honored with the “Iconic Woman Leader 2025” award. This prestigious recognition highlights her business trajectory, emphasizing her leadership with social impact, commitment to sustainable development, and strategic vision in leading high-scope teams and projects within the company —a key player in managing duty free shops and passenger terminals in the region.

The WEF is the largest global platform dedicated to empowering women’s connections, commerce, and leadership across all sectors. Its main objective is to promote economic and social equity and integrity worldwide. In Argentina, the event was organized by the Global Association for Equity and Integrity (AGEI) at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, gathering female entrepreneurs and leaders to foster networking and collaboration.

The travel and retail industry was strongly represented at the forum by prominent female profiles such as Laura Migliavacca, Human Resources Business Partner at Aeropuertos Argentina, who took part in the “Companies with Purpose” panel, and Andrea Diaz, Head of Digital Marketing at L'Oréal Groupe Argentina, who spoke about how AI applied to the cosmetics industry.

One of the featured voices was that of María Taratuty, a third-generation leader and the first woman in the family to be at the helm of London Supply Group. The Argentinian company boasts over 80 years of history, operating in strategic sectors such as border duty free shops and passenger terminals. Taratuty participated as a speaker on the panel “Stories of Women, Women with History,” sharing her career journey and her experiences in a dynamic and constantly growing sector.

"This space is an opportunity to highlight how female leadership can transform organizations through a more empathetic and inclusive approach. In my role, I seek to integrate sustainability as the central axis at London Supply Group and demonstrate that it is possible to lead with impact and purpose across all sectors, especially in the travel and retail industry that connects thousands of people," stated Taratuty.

With over a decade of executive experience, the businesswoman has actively championed social impact initiatives both through the company and the Fundación Grupo London Supply, where she serves as director. This entity channels all Corporate Social Responsibility actions carried out by the company in every city where it operates, most notably the construction of the “Barrio 1° de Mayo” Educational Park in Puerto Iguazú.

During the Awards Gala, the WEF and AGEI specifically recognized Taratuty’s commitment to sustainability as a strategic pillar of the business, her crucial role in consolidating triple-impact projects within the group, and her ability to lead with an inclusive and innovative perspective.
