Edrington’s Highland Park whisky unveils ‘Between You and I: Journeys’
The single malt was created in partnership with 3 x 3 Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén and is available exclusively at Dubai Duty Free locations throughout October
Highland Park, the Orkney distillery founded in 1798, has partnered with 3 x 3 Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén to launch “Between You and I: Journeys” – a travel exclusive 17-Year-Old single malt that offers a new approach to whisky tasting.
With Between You and I: Journeys, rather than providing a set of pre-defined tasting notes, Highland Park invited Björn Frantzén, renowned for his innovative approach to flavor, to respond to this 17-Year-Old single malt with his own personal associations. As Frantzén explored the whisky’s rich and complex flavors, it evoked many memories from his travels across the globe, from winters in Stockholm to adventures in Tahiti, New York, Istanbul and Orkney – where he visited the Highland Park distillery and got up close with the brand’s uniquely aromatic heathered peat.
In the packaging, notes and accompanying campaign for Between You and I: Journeys, he shares this personal journey, and asks others to do the same, via the simple question, “Where will it take you?”.
Matured for 17 years in first-fill French oak casks seasoned with red wine and complemented by sherry-seasoned American oak casks and refill casks, Between You and I: Journeys is rich, fruity and delightfully complex.
The packaging design, shaped by Frantzén’s sensory impressions, features six layered colors, each representing a distinct memory, creating a visual metaphor for the whisky’s depth. Inside, instead of traditional tasting notes, the pack contains a booklet filled with reflective questions and prompts, encouraging the consumer to respond to the whisky with their own travel memories, in answer to the question, “Where will it take you?”.

Dubai Duty Free World-First Launch
Between You and I: Journeys is available exclusively at Dubai Duty Free locations throughout October, where it is featuring in world-first première activations before a wider global travel retail rollout. The whisky is being showcased across four activation sites in both departures and arrivals throughout October, followed by an additional site in November, where Between You and I:
Journeys will take center stage in Dubai Duty Free’s high-profile promotion space in T3. Immersive displays and storytelling touchpoints bring to life the whisky’s story while further traveler engagement is created with special gift-with-purchase tote bags.
Additional activations are planned for Edinburgh, Shanghai Pudong, and Singapore Changi airports in November and December and early 2026, ensuring key exposure for Between You and I: Journeys during the festive gifting season.
