Dubai Duty Free celebrates the festive season with 41st anniversary promotions and prize draws
Dubai Duty Free marked its 41st anniversary on December 20, 2024, offering travelers at Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airports a 24-hour 25% discount across various merchandise. The promotion, which extended to online purchases, sparked significant customer activity.
Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi commented on the celebration: "As always it was great to see the operation in full festive atmosphere today during our 41st anniversary celebration."
The festivities began on December 19, with the executive team led by Cidambi visiting Al Maktoum International Airport, the Ramoul Head Office and Terminal 1 Concourse D at Dubai International Airport. On December 20, celebrations continued at Terminal 2, followed by visits to Terminal 3's Concourse A, C and Control Tower, concluding at Concourse B. The Dubai Duty Free Nightingales choral group performed Christmas carols before the cake cutting and promotional draws.
Dubai Duty Free conducts its Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draws as part of the 41st anniversary celebrations
In the Millennium Millionaire Series 484 draw, Ms. Rosha Abdulla, a 25-year-old Indian accountant based in Dubai, won US$1 million with ticket number 2261, purchased online on December 10. Her brother, who has participated in the promotion for three years, bought the ticket in her name. Abdulla expressed her excitement: "I'm so excited because my brother has been praying to win under my name, and now it finally happened. Thank you so much, Dubai Duty Free, for this amazing opportunity." She becomes the 243rd Indian national to win the million-dollar prize since 1999.
The Finest Surprise draw saw Ethiopian national Ezana Negash Huluka win a Mercedes Benz S500 in Graphite Grey (Series 1902, ticket 267), while Uzbekistan national Shavkat Shodiev, 50, won a BMW R 1250 R motorcycle in Racing Blue Metallic (Series 606, ticket 543). Shodiev stated: "Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this win! I can't wait to receive my winning bike."
Additionally, 42 Dubai Duty Free staff members participated in a Staff Surprise raffle with Dhs 110,000 (US$30,000) in total cash prizes.
