Davidoff celebrates opening of first-ever Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 boutique and cigar lounge in travel retail
A new standard of luxury in duty free, the 82-square-meter space in Jeddah Airport Terminal 1 includes a walk-in humidor

Oettinger Davidoff has revealed a groundbreaking innovation in its travel retail offer: the first-ever Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 shop and lounge within a duty free environment, created to bring a sense of refined luxury and comfort into travel retail.
The cigar lounge, in Jeddah Airport Terminal 1, offers travelers an exclusive and tranquil space to pause before departure – an ideal time to enjoy a moment of ‘Time Beautifully Filled’.
The new Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 space spans 82 square meters, divided into a 37-square-meter walk-in humidor and a 45-square-meter cigar lounge.

The walk-in humidor has been designed to provide guests with clear visibility of the full cigar assortment including bestsellers, limited editions, travel retail exclusives, and products from diverse origins, along with premium gifting options and freestanding fittings for accessories offering travelers a selection of high-quality products in keeping with the brand’s tradition.
The cigar lounge offers a refined environment for enjoying cigars either in a quiet moment of relaxation or shared in good company. The space includes a service bar, a dedicated luggage room, and four alcoves separated by refined moucharabieh screens, ensuring both comfort and discretion. Wall-mounted TV screens complement the setting without distracting from the tasting experience.
Premium materials define the lounge atmosphere: warm woods, luxurious wallpaper, bronzed mirrors, and decorative elements such as a backlit feature wall contribute depth, warmth, and a sophisticated glow. The result is an elegant and immersive environment that elevates every moment spent selecting and enjoying a Davidoff cigar, perfectly aligned with the brand’s promise of ‘Time Beautifully Filled’.

From a strategic perspective, this opening underlines Oettinger Davidoff’s commitment to excellence and thoughtful innovation within travel retail. As the first concept of its kind, it sets a benchmark for refined passenger experiences, demonstrating how the company’s long-standing values of quality and craftsmanship can be seamlessly integrated into the airport landscape.
Simon Forde, CEO JAH Arabia International Duty Free LLC, commented, “The quality and craftsmanship of the boutique and lounge match that of the cigars that customers can purchase and enjoy. Many thanks to Oettinger Davidoff and Gebr. Heinemann for making this innovative vision a reality.”
JAH Arabia International Duty Free operates under the brand ‘Jeddah Duty Free’, a joint venture between Gebr. Heinemann, Astra Group, and Jordanian Duty Free Shops, managing the duty-free shops at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
Niels Altmann, Global Head of Buying Tobacco at Gebr. Heinemann, added, “In partnership with Oettinger Davidoff, this opening sets a new standard for premium cigar experiences in travel retail as a point-of-experience: a place where craftsmanship, expert guidance and calm come together – delivering on our mission to turn travel time into valuable time.”
Following the inauguration, guests were invited to explore the new airport facilities at Jeddah, gaining a broader perspective on the terminal’s development and future vision.
Oettinger Davidoff extends its gratitude to Gebr. Heinemann, JEDCO and all stakeholders involved for supporting this initiative and for contributing to the creation of elevated moments of indulgence for travelers worldwide.
