Made from recycled plastic, Pilgrim’s eco-friendly sunglasses line offers style and sustainability for the conscious traveler, while the “Imagination” collection showcases elegant pearls and handcrafted details, blending Scandinavian design with nature-inspired elements
Pilgrim, the Danish accessories brand, is gearing up to present its latest offerings at the TFWA Cannes 2024 event. The company plans to unveil its 2025 travel retail exclusive jewelry line and display its sunglasses collection at a new booth location.
Dubbed “Imagination,” the upcoming jewelry range aims to challenge conventional thinking by blending past and present aesthetics. Rooted in Scandinavian design principles and nature-inspired motifs, the collection boasts 80 pieces encompassing various styles of rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Travelers can expect to find these items in duty-free shops by early 2025.
Pilgrim’s Head of Travel Retail, Louise Rohde, emphasized the brand’s commitment to self-expression. “Pilgrim encourages an extraordinary every day for every soul who wants to join our journey and wear jewelry to express themselves. Free from limitations and box-thinking, our universe is a place of freedom, empowering everyone to be exactly who they want to be.”

Pilgrim’s travel retail exclusive jewelry features adjustable rings, necklaces, and earrings, all designed to empower self-expression
Founded in 1983 by Annemette Markvad, Pilgrim offers affordable luxury with jewelry prices ranging from €20 to €100 and sunglasses from €50 to €60. The company prides itself on its eco-conscious approach, utilizing a minimum of 75% recycled materials in over 70% of its jewelry pieces. Similarly, most of their sunglasses incorporate recycled plastic and feature polarized lenses with UV400 protection.
To support retailers, Pilgrim provides comprehensive merchandizing guidance and efficient display solutions. Their compact floor units can showcase 300 items within a single square meter, maximizing sales potential in limited spaces.
The brand has established a strong presence in European travel retail and continues to expand globally. Recent developments include partnerships with major operators such as Gebr. Heinemann, ARI and 3Sixty, as well as a 2024 entry into the US duty-free market at Newark and Dallas Fort Worth airports.
Rohde highlighted Pilgrim’s appeal to younger consumers. “Pilgrim is founded on a philosophy of spontaneity, allowing shoppers to express themselves. We empower Gen Z travelers to enjoy unplanned purchases of jewelry and sunglasses with long-lasting pleasure.”
