Showcasing rarities reserved for the few: Changi Airport Group and Lotte Duty Free count down to World of Wines & Spirits

Themed “Wonders Reimagined,” the latest edition of Changi Airport Group’s annual World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) returns in partnership with Lotte Duty Free to spotlight exceptional bottles and the provenance behind them. Retaining its promise to curate the world’s rarest wines and spirits, the 2025 edition is set to unveil the year’s coveted collectibles with a multi-sensorial Gala happening on October 24 and 25, offering collectors and connoisseurs a first-hand encounter with these extraordinary bottles.

Spanning 63 rarities from 29 renowned labels, WOWS 2025 collection is poised to feature the world’s finest whiskies – from Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression to The Macallan Fine & Rare 1965 – alongside treasured cognacs including Martell L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval. In addition, the collection also features fine wines and champagnes such as Penfolds Grange La Chapelle and Charles Heidsieck Vintage 1996.

A luxury flagship since 2022

First introduced in 2022, WOWS is Changi’s anchor premium wines and spirits program in collaboration with Lotte Duty Free. Uniting the world’s leading wines and spirits labels under one roof, the campaign aims to elevate duty-free encounters into a discovery of stories behind every rarity — one that invites both travelers and non-travelers to explore, taste, and acquire some of the rarest bottles in the world.

The Macallan Red Collection is described as a profound celebration of time, tradition, and craftsmanship

Hung Jean, Managing Director, Airside Concessions, Changi Airport Group, said, “The most discerning connoisseurs of wines and spirits prize rarity, craftsmanship, and the stories behind each bottle. This year, Changi Airport Group, together with Lotte Duty Free and our esteemed brand partners, proudly present some of the industry’s most sought-after bottlings at the World of Wines and Spirits. Guided by valuable client feedback, this carefully curated portfolio aims to delight collectors and elevate the luxury retail experience.”

Jeff Jeong Soongyu, Managing Director, Lotte Duty Free Singapore, added, “In the world of luxury wines and spirits, collectability now plays a big role in how value is defined. At Lotte Duty Free, we tap into our global reach and trusted relationships to secure some of the rarest and most distinguished bottles, many of which are released exclusively through us. With every edition of WOWS, we carefully curate collections that speak to what collectors are looking for today, while continuing to offer something fresh, rare, and unmatched in travel retail.”

Wonders Reimagined Gala

Themed “Wonders Reimagined,” the gala is the pinnacle of this year’s campaign. Hosted at Changi Axis, a new innovation and collaboration hub in Terminal 2, guests will step through The Wonderfall and into a multi-sensory world where wines and spirits are reimagined as living wonders.

Inspired by the very essence of wines and spirits — their aromas, textures, terroirs, and even their soundscapes — the journey invites guests to immerse their senses in new and unexpected ways that befits the exquisite nature of highlight bottles.

Beyond the sensorial journey, attendees can enjoy a live food station by Michelin-starred restaurant, Nouri, to indulge in innovative pairings designed to accentuate flavor notes of each pour, accompanied by a dedicated bar serving up bespoke cocktails inspired by the evening’s theme. The atmosphere will be further elevated with live performances and interactive elements that add to the evening’s sense of celebration.

In the lead up to the gala, WOWS will host a series of Masterclasses presented by Johnnie Walker and The Macallan. Exclusive private preview sessions will also see invited guests gain privileged access to view selected products in person, prior to the gala.

WOWS 2025 Collection Highlights

Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression

The Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression is a masterpiece that converges the artistry of luxury whisky blending with the visionary world of haute couture. Co-created by Master Blender Dr Emma Walker and French Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, this debut release under the Johnnie Walker Vault collection redefines modern luxury through four seasonal editions — Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter — echoing the rhythm of fashion.

Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression: A masterpiece that converges the artistry of luxury whisky blending with the visionary world of haute couture

Each edition showcases rare whiskies with distinctive character: Spring is fresh and floral with 1985 Cragganmore, 1977 Caledonian, and 1978 Port Ellen; Summer brings bright tropical notes from Cardhu Wine Cask Finish, 1990 Clynelish, and 1988 Benrinnes; Fall offers contemplative, layered sips with Teaninich and 1978 Port Ellen; while Winter is rich and warming with Port Ellen, Brora, and 1988 Benrinnes. Every blend is anchored by a luxurious “heart” of ghost whiskies from Brora and Port Dundas, underscoring its rarity and artistry.

Tailored with gold and metallic embellishments, each bottle echoes both the elegance of couture and the movement of the liquid within — a true collector’s piece where fashion and flavor meet.

Released exclusively in four countries (New York, London, Dubai and Singapore), one set is available at WOWS for SG$103,800.

Martell L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval

A 2026 pre-release, the L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval celebrates the nobility and energy of the Horse — long associated with dynamism, freedom, and youthful spirit. Crafted by Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud from rare eaux-de-vie drawn from previous Years of the Horse, with a blend anchored in Grande Champagne, this edition embodies vitality, elegance, and complexity.

Characterized by notes of honey, candied fruit, and floral accents that give way to red fruit and blackcurrant on the palate, balanced by subtle sweetness, volume, and length that vividly evoke the horse’s intrepid spirit.

Continuing the hallmarks of the Zodiac series, the blend is housed in the iconic L’Or teardrop crystal decanter, crowned with a sculptural horse-head stopper created by Baccarat. Limited to 750 bottles worldwide, two bottles are available at WOWS for SG$14,500.

The Macallan Fine & Rare Collection

The Macallan Fine & Rare Collection has grown into the largest assembly of vintage-dated single malt whiskies in the world — 60 bottlings shaped by decades of quiet maturation in sherry seasoned oak casks. While each vintage is marked by the year it was bottled, their legacy endures for generations, should custodians choose to preserve them.

The Macallan Fine & Rare 1965

Among them is The Macallan Fine & Rare 1965, a momentous vintage that coincides with Singapore’s independence, making it especially significant with the nation’s recent 60th milestone. Beyond its rarity, 1965 also witnessed key innovations that have impacted modern living: from the launch of Japan’s bullet train and Houston’s Astrodome, to the invention of astroturf, soft contact lenses, and the compact disc.

Presented in a bespoke tantalus designed by London interior designer Kamini Ezralow, this edition is accompanied by four Lalique crystal tumblers and four solid ebony wood coasters — a luxurious showcase for a truly historic whisky. Only one set is available exclusively at WOWS for SG$48,000.

The Macallan Red Collection 71, 74, 78-Years Old

Comprising three ultra-rare age statements — 71, 74, and 78-Years Old — The Macallan Red Collection is a profound celebration of time, tradition, and craftsmanship. Distilled in The Macallan’s small copper stills and laid down in hand-selected oak casks, each whisky has matured for over seven decades, shaped patiently by generations of whisky makers.

The trio are among the oldest ever released by The Macallan, with characteristics defined by natural color, aromatic richness, and a depth only time can impart. Each bottle reveals layered notes of dried fruits, oak spice, and subtle sweetness, balanced by extraordinary length and complexity — qualities that place them among the rarest single malts in existence.

As a reflection of rarity, the three bottles (41–43% ABV) are housed within a bespoke presentation case that embodies The Macallan’s deep respect for heritage and detail. Each expression rests in its own handcrafted oak box, upholstered in soft red Scottish leather from Bridge of Weir, conveying the collection’s artistry and prestige. A full set with bespoke case is curated exclusively at WOWS for SG$368,200.
