Speyburn's new travel retail exclusive trio: Kentucky Bourbon Cask, Bordeaux Red Wine Cask, and Jerez Sherry Cask single malts, featuring vibrant packaging with illustrations reflecting their unique cask origins

International Beverage has announced an expansion of its travel retail portfolio with the introduction of an exclusive trio of Speyburn single malt Scotch whiskies. The new collection, featuring unique cask maturations, will be unveiled at the upcoming TFWA Exhibition in Cannes from September 29 to October 3 at the International Beverage stand in the Marine Village.

The three non-aged expressions – Speyburn Kentucky Bourbon Cask, Speyburn Bordeaux Red Wine Cask, and Speyburn Jerez Sherry Cask – will be exclusively available in select markets starting Spring 2025. Bottled at 40% ABV in one-liter bottles, these new offerings will replace Speyburn’s existing travel retail lineup.

The Kentucky Bourbon Cask, priced at £35 (US$46), is matured in first fill bourbon casks from Kentucky, including high rye specialist casks. It offers a mellow single malt with flavors of vanilla, fresh citrus, and honey.

The Bordeaux Red Wine Cask, priced at £40 (US$53), is matured in a mix of red wine casks (both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) from Bordeaux. It presents a fruity single malt with flavors of red berries, dark chocolate, and sweet spices.

The Jerez Sherry Cask, priced at £49 (US$65), is matured in bourbon casks and finished in a mix of sherry casks (Oloroso, Manzanilla, and Fino). It delivers a nutty single malt with flavors of hazelnuts, raisins, and smooth spices.

The new range features vibrant packaging with striking illustrations that pay homage to each whisky’s cask origins. The designs incorporate elements such as oak trees, rick houses, and horses for Kentucky; chateaux, grapes, and ornate lamp posts for Bordeaux; and Spanish tiles, flamenco guitar, and fans for Jerez. Speyburn distillery’s distinctive pagoda-shaped roof will be featured on all three single malts’ packaging.

Jack Cook-Broussine, Senior Brand Manager for Speyburn, commented: “The launch of this new collection underlines our ongoing commitment to investing in the global travel retail channel and we are confident that the travel retail trio will prove popular with both newcomers and seasoned whisky enthusiasts alike.

“To create this collection, we sourced the finest casks from around the world to bring some unique new flavors to our award-winning single malt and we are looking forward to unveiling it to the global travel retail community in Cannes.”

Speyburn Distillery has been crafting whisky in the heart of the Speyside region in Scotland for over 125 years, using crystal-clear water from the Granty Burn to produce its smooth single malt.
