Hamad International Airport has become the first airport in the world with its entire Food & Beverage (F&B) offerings compliant with FSSC food safety management requirements.

FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000) is an internationally recognized comprehensive food safety management system, recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), that embeds rigorous standards in the handling, preparation, and serving of food and beverages.
The FSSC 22000 certification process involves a thorough evaluation of food safety management systems with extensive audits performed by Bureau Veritas auditors, encompassing every aspect of food handling, from sourcing ingredients to consumption.
