Old Pulteney 13-Years-Old Single Malt
Single Malt Scotch Whisky brand Old Pulteney has unveiled a new expression to its global travel retail (GTR) range of Single Malts, available to those traveling this summer.
Joining Old Pulteney’s travel retail collection, which includes a 10-Years-Old and 16-Years-Old, Old Pulteney 13-Years-Old boasts a medium to long finish and showcases a beautiful hint of sea salt that comes from the coastal air carried by the North Sea.
Initially matured in American oak casks, the whisky was then finished in Spanish oak casks, giving complex flavors of coconut, citrus, rich vanilla custard and candied almonds. To create Old Pulteney 13-Years-Old, Distillery Manager Malcolm Waring carefully hand-selected the casks to create a unique flavor profile, before keeping an expert eye over the whisky as it matures.
The 13-Years-Old is now available in UK airport duty free stores, and will be rolled out across other European airports including Warsaw, Paris and Amsterdam this summer, before Singapore, North Asia and India later this year.
Malcolm Waring, Pulteney Distillery Manager said, “I’m so pleased to introduce Old Pulteney’s 13-Years-Old to our range. The expression truly embodies Pulteney Distillery’s signature coastal style, with a deliciously distinctive flavor that comes from being lovingly matured by the sea.
“Our 13-Years-Old is a wonderful dram that takes travel lovers on a journey of their own - starting with tropical flavors of coconut and citrus, reminiscent of sunny holidays, before making way for sweet notes of vanilla, toffee and candied nuts. I’m really looking forward to sharing this expression with whisky drinkers across the continent.”
Old Pulteney 13-Years-Old is available in a 1L bottle, has an ABV of 43% and retails at £65 (US$82).
