ROOTS opens at Dubai International Airport

Lagardère Travel Retail UAE has launched ROOTS, a new health-focused café concept, at Dubai International (DXB).

Under the ethos of “unfiltered goodness” and designed for the modern traveler, ROOTS offers wholesome nourishment in a relaxed and contemporary space.

Inspired by Nordic design and a commitment to simplicity, vitality, and sustainability, the ROOTS menu is focused on fresh, honest ingredients. At its core is a selection of artisan sandwiches and smørrebrød - Open-faced bites blending Eastern and Western flavors for global appeal. Signature options include the Spice Route, infused with sub-continental spices, the Early Riser a modern interpretation of the classic egg, turkey ham, and cheese and the vegetarian Verdure with grilled Mediterranean vegetables.

The offer is complemented by a sweet selection of globally inspired pastries and cookies, featuring trending flavors such as pistachio, cardamom, and ube, alongside a variety of wholesome breakfast pots. ROOTS also serves a wide range of cold-pressed juices, nutrient-rich smoothies made with ingredients such as nuts, dates, whey protein, matcha, and spirulina, as well as organic specialty coffee and tea.

The space itself is inspired by Scandinavian simplicity – featuring light woods, terracotta accents, and inviting seating that caters to both relaxed dining and quick, on-the-go meals. Sustainability was a guiding principle from the start, reflected in choices like sourcing over 50% of our produce locally, using cage-free organic eggs, and maintaining our commitment to 100% eco-friendly packaging.”
