Eight out of 10 duty free operators adopt Travel Blue’s new sustainability initiative

Travel accessories brand Travel Blue Group has confirmed that eight out of 10 of the largest duty free operators in the world have embraced its sustainability initiative launched earlier this year, titled Our Blue Way.
The company has confirmed that over 50% of products to be sold this year will be made from recycled or recyclable material, a number which will increase as technology develops.
“Our Blue Way was welcomed with open arms from day one by our retail partners,” says Travel Blue Group Managing Director Daniel Levin. “We have been delighted by our customers’ response and the immediate support for the initiative. Travel Blue Group has a long history with recycling and sustainability. 25 years ago it was the first and only company to use recycled cardboard packaging whilst others used plastic. The business was also the first to use soy-based ink. It is now committed to converting as many products as fast as possible and absorbing the additional cost. Travel Blue neck pillows are now made with a 94% recycled cover, 100% recyclable foam and 100% recycled packaging.
