Blue Caterpillar has announced a distribution agreement with The Sailor's Home Company. The deal aims to expand the presence of the company's Irish whiskey offerings in global travel retail (GTR) and domestic markets across the Americas.

With the global Irish whiskey market expected to reach US$7,456.92 million by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.95% from 2022 to 2028, this alliance is timed to capitalize on the increasing demand for premium Irish whiskey. Sailor’s Home, known for its unique approach to whiskey-making, combines traditional craft with bold innovations, creating distinctive, delicious flavors that resonate with modern consumers.

The agreement covers strategic distribution channels in GTR, a sector where Irish whiskey has shown robust growth, reporting a 66% increase in volume in 2022 alone, according to the Blue Caterpillar team.

The partnership is set to leverage the expected full recovery of international air passenger numbers by 2025/2026, enhancing the visibility and accessibility of Sailor’s Home Irish whiskey to a global audience.

In addition to GTR, Blue Caterpillar will also handle distribution in key domestic markets within the Americas, where the demand for unique spirit brands continues to rise. Both companies are committed to a shared vision of bringing exceptional taste experiences to whiskey enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

"This partnership with Blue Caterpillar marks a significant milestone for The Sailor’s Home as we aim to make our unique expressions of Irish whiskey available to a wider global audience," says Cian Quilty, CEO of The Sailor’s Home Company. "The Sailor’s Home proposition is uniquely appealing to international explorer of great whiskeys in global travel retail. Our innovative approach to whiskey-making combined with Blue Caterpillar's strong distribution capabilities and deep understanding of the global travel retail market presents a remarkable opportunity to bring delicious whiskey expressions and gifting solutions to discerning consumers worldwide."

The Sailor’s Home, with its commitment to quality, perfectly embodies the values our customers seek," adds Christoph Henkel Co-founder & COO, Blue Caterpillar.
