According to recent data from IWSC, the whisky category has experienced a robust annual growth rate of 5.5% globally, showcasing the enduring appeal and expanding consumer interest in whiskies from different regions
Blue Caterpillar has announced a new distribution agreement with M&H Distillery, the owners of Milk & Honey Whiskey, a whisky brand from Israel, winners of the "2023 World Whiskey Awards for World’s Best Single Malt."
This collaboration marks an important milestone as Blue Caterpillar accelerates its Whiskies of The World thesis for its global travel retail portfolio to include the distinctive flavors of Milk & Honey Whiskey. The two will join forces to bring the Israeli whisky to local markets across Latin America, the Caribbean and global travel retail.
"We are delighted to partner with M&H Distillery and introduce Milk & Honey Whiskey to our discerning travel retail customers worldwide. Since the beginning, M&H Distillery was founded with a commitment to the highest international standards of quality, and respect for the centuries-old traditions of whisky-making. For that reason, the world-renowned Dr. Jim Swan, a leading expert in hot-climate maturation and new world whisky, was brought on- board as the architect and first master distiller.
Their pursuit for perfection in every aspect, from their custom-made traditional copper pot stills to quality control throughout the process, and its unique characteristics make it a captivating addition to our premium spirits collection. We look forward to a successful partnership with M&H Distillery and bringing this exceptional whisky to global travelers," says Michael Gebrael Co-Founder & CEO at Blue Caterpillar.
The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) has observed significant growth in the popularity of whiskies globally, with a particular rise in the demand for New World Whiskies. According to recent data from IWSC, the whisky category has experienced a robust annual growth rate of 5.5% globally, showcasing the enduring appeal and expanding consumer interest in whiskies from different regions.
IWSC data also highlights the emergence of New World Whiskies as a vibrant and exciting segment within the whisky market. New World Whiskies represent a diverse range of whiskies produced outside of the traditional whisky regions, offering unique flavor profiles and intriguing expressions. This category has been experiencing remarkable growth, with an annual increase of 12% in consumer demand, as whisky enthusiasts seek out new and distinctive experiences.
"As the first established Whisky Distillery in Israel in 2013, we are thrilled to collaborate with Blue Caterpillar and expand the reach of Milk & Honey Whiskey in global travel retail. Milk & Honey Whiskey embodies the spirit of Israeli craftsmanship, combining traditional whisky-making techniques with the unique terroir of our region. Our distillery was founded by a group of enthusiast whisky lovers and entrepreneurs, who dreamt of building the first, artisan distillery in Israel and creating innovation in the traditional world of whisky-making. We’re all about working hard, having fun, and supporting each other. We’re bringing good vibes to everything we do. Together, we strive to bring the world the story of our new world whisky, a story of a vision that comes to life. We are excited to share our whisky's distinct flavors with travelers around the world and invite them to discover the artistry behind Israeli whisky production," adds Mr. Gal Kalkshtein, Founder and CEO of M&H Distillery.
