Bitmore's tech offering includes power banks, speakers, earphones and charging devices

Consumer technology and accessories brand Bitmore has announced a partnership with business development consulting firm Blueprint and tech distributor BORN Nordic.

According to a press release, "The union aims to build Bitmore’s footprint in travel retail and other channels in the Nordic region and beyond. The new collaborators are joining forces to champion Bitmore’s award-winning naturally sustainable tech which includes more than 35 SKUs covering products such as power banks, speakers, earphones and charging devices. They use environmentally friendly materials such as recycled TPE, plastic and wheat straw materials."

Initially focusing on the airline market, where Bitmore products have been listed with more than 50 airlines, in the last 18 months the brand has become established in ground travel retail across the world with the likes of Dufry’s World Duty Free, WHSmith and InMotion.

The partners in the new venture have been brought together by Bitmore associate Rajiv Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Lead in Travel Retail. "Copenhagen-based Blueprint is well-known as a business developer, helping more than 40 companies to win new business in the travel retail channel," notes the press release. "These Blueprint successes include work with Joe & The Juice, True Gum, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, MessyWeekend, Simply Chocolate, Summerbird, Intelligent Track Systems and many more.

"Completing the line-up of strategic partners is tech distributor BORN Nordic, which has collaborated with more than 80 tech brands to build their footprints with online and offline retailers. The company has grown by an average of +30% year-on-year since its establishment in 2014."

Blueprint Partner Thomas Kaneko Henningsen said, “Bitmore is a great addition to the stable of companies we work with, not least because of its commitment to sustainability across its products and practices. Brands with sustainability at their core have great business development potential in the travel retail channel, as research consistently shows that travelers are seeking out more sustainable products.

“That is evidenced by the strides Bitmore has already made in securing listings with some of the biggest travel retailers in the world. Our job now, alongside our expert associates at BORN Nordic, is to open new doors and help build that footprint in airport retail across the Nordics and beyond.

“With such a diverse range of high-quality, eco-friendly SKUs to represent I anticipate we can uncover many new opportunities for the Bitmore brand and relish the challenge ahead.”

Bitmore CEO Hoj Parmar said, “Working with well-known and respected business development agency Blueprint and tech distributor BORN Nordic is another big step forward in our quest to build our growing eco-friendly tech and accessories brand’s footprint in travel retail. I’m very pleased to be working with the Blueprint team, who know the travel retail industry inside out.

“Our advances in the use of eco-friendly materials in Bitmore products and the wider sustainability focus of our company is resonating with retailers across the world and that gives our new partners a strong foundation for finding new avenues of business. These are exciting times for Bitmore as we build our footprint in airport retail and bring our expanding product range to an increasingly eco-conscious traveling consumer.”
