Duty Free Americas chosen to operate duty free at JFK’s New Terminal One

Duty Free Americas’ new 20,000-square-foot flagship store will mirror the grandeur of New Terminal One while delivering unprecedented luxury retail experiences to international travelers
Duty Free Americas (DFA), the Americas’ largest travel retailer, has secured the duty free program at JFK Airport’s New Terminal One, working alongside the Port Authority of NY/NJ, New Terminal One and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
DFA will launch “Skyline Duty Free by Duty Free Americas,” a 20,000-square-foot retail experience anchoring the terminal’s “World’s Runway” commercial zone. The flagship store features bold architecture matching the terminal’s design, with four additional locations throughout. Drawing inspiration from NYC’s skyline, Skyline Duty Free will offer renowned brands, local products and immersive shopping experiences.

Customer experience drives DFA’s approach, incorporating digital interactions, multisensory experiences, exclusive product launches and VIP shopping services. As an international-only terminal, New Terminal One will uniquely offer cash-and-carry shopping without gate delivery, aligning with global standards and enabling click-and-collect options and lounge deliveries.
The premium product selection will feature limited editions, terminal exclusives and customized offerings across traditional duty free categories. Luxury skincare, cosmetics and beauty products will be showcased in brand boutiques with independent shop-in-shops.

Innovation will appear throughout Skyline Duty Free stores with holographic displays, VR tasting experiences, mixology bars and AI-enhanced beauty experiences. A versatile event space in front of the main store will feature brands, sports and digital interactions, bringing New York’s culture into the terminal.
The “Outside In” Local Program will bring New York’s market atmosphere to DFA’s areas, featuring products from local artisans. DFA, an established JFK operator, is partnering with local vendors, community leaders and ACDBE partners including CCE Global Solutions, JDK19 Group, BBJ Concessions, Prevost Consulting Group and Parkview Global.
