Delhi Duty Free celebrates highest-ever annual sale in FY 2024-25

Ashish Chopra, CEO, Delhi Duty Free: “This is a landmark moment for Delhi Duty Free"
Delhi Duty Free, India’s largest duty-free retailer at Indira Gandhi International Airport, has announced its highest-ever annual sales of ₹2,177 crores (US$261 million) for the financial year ending March 31, 2025. This reflects a robust 12% growth over FY 2023–24.
This landmark achievement is supported by a combination of strong macroeconomic fundamentals: a stable and growing Indian economy, the sustained momentum of outbound travel from India (now one of the fastest-growing international travel markets), and a renewed influx of tourists from around the globe. The rising aspirations of India’s global diaspora, coupled with increasing discretionary spending by resident Indians, further fueled this record-breaking performance.
Ashish Chopra, CEO, Delhi Duty Free, said, “This is a landmark moment for Delhi Duty Free, one that reflects not just strong numbers, but a shared vision, tireless effort, and a commitment to excellence at every level of the organization.
“Behind this success is a remarkable team that has consistently pushed boundaries, remained agile in the face of change, and embraced innovation across the board – from product, pricing, and partnerships to customer experience. We’ve worked relentlessly to align ourselves with the best global benchmarks in duty-free retailing, while staying deeply rooted in understanding the evolving needs of our Indian and international customers.
“This milestone energizes us to aim even higher and continue building a retail experience that travelers truly look forward to.”

Throughout the year, Delhi Duty Free rolled out a number of strategic retail initiatives aimed at sharpening its product offering
The exceptional performance in FY 2024–25 was driven by several interlinked factors. Delhi Duty Free witnessed double-digit growth in international passenger volumes, benefiting from the continued strength of Delhi International Airport as a global hub. Throughout the year, the company rolled out a number of strategic retail initiatives aimed at sharpening its product offering – including assortment refreshes, category expansions, and visual merchandising enhancements – ensuring parity with the best global duty-free formats.
A dedicated premiumization strategy brought in exclusive brand tie-ups and elevated product lines, appealing to the evolving tastes of today’s affluent Indian traveler. These efforts were anchored by robust customer insight programs, powered by trend-watching, real-time feedback, and in-market research, helping the brand stay agile and responsive to traveler expectations.

Delhi Duty Free remains focused on innovation, premium service, and deepening its leadership in the global travel retail landscape
Equally critical was the close partnership with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), whose collaboration across operations, promotions, and passenger services enabled an optimized, high-engagement shopper journey. At the heart of it all was the unwavering resilience and excellence of the Delhi Duty Free team, whose consistent focus and commitment were instrumental in achieving this historic result.
Delhi Duty Free also extends its gratitude to its supplier network, brand partners, and the wider airport ecosystem, whose continued trust and collaboration have played a defining role in shaping an offering that resonates with travelers from across the globe.
As it looks to the future, Delhi Duty Free said it remains focused on innovation, premium service, and deepening its leadership in the global travel retail landscape, delivering experiences that are both aspirational and globally benchmarked.
