Lotte Duty Free's two-day event for representatives of major inbound travel agencies started on February 25

Lotte Duty Free is hosting a two-day event (February 25 and 26) for major inbound travel agency officials. The invitation-only event, which aims to strengthen partnerships, comes amid speculations of China’s lifting of THAAD restrictions and the increase of tourists visiting South Korea.

Some 200 tour guides from major travel agencies in China, Japan, and Southeast Asia are participating. Lotte Duty Free will showcase major sales outlets, brands, operating policies, and benefits, and provide brand experience opportunities with jewelry brands such as Honest Seoul and Swarovski, as well as major K-beauty brands Whoo and Cosrx. Gifts and prizes will also be offered to attendees.

According to Lotte Duty Free, the event is a strategic move to attract groups of foreign tourists, organized to further strengthen cooperative relationships with travel agencies. The company plans to hold quarterly invitation events in line with major seasonal celebrations such as China's Labor Day, National Day, and summer and winter vacations.

Namgung Pyo, Head of Lotte Duty Free's Marketing Division, said, "As the number of tourists visiting Korea has recently increased, Lotte Duty Free will work closely with travel agencies in China, Japan, and Southeast Asia to strengthen group tourist attraction and provide customized benefits and services tailored to the needs of customers of each nationality."
