Cartier unveils immersive experiences at cdf Sanya in Celebration of Chinese New Year

Cartier, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group, has celebrated Chinese New Year with traveling clients at the VIP lounge of cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex.
In a 200-square-meter salon reimagined as a space of timeless elegance, the Maison’s world blended with Chinese traditions. Travelers embarked on sensory journeys, from tea appreciation classes to Chinese calligraphy, and immersed in a curated selection of fine jewelry, watches, and accessories. Running from January 23 to February 5, the event celebrated the Spring Festival with travelers and redefined luxury experiential travel at its finest and most elegant.

Sculpted to stimulate all five senses, the exclusive salon featured the Maison’s emblematic panther, symbolically leaving behind a trail of blessings for those who visited. The space unfolded to offer experiential journeys of craft and culture, connecting travelers with the Maison’s savoir-faire, while celebrating the festivity with their loved ones in a meaningful way.
Journey of Craft offered an exploration into the world of traditional crafts led visitors to discover the art of Chinese calligraphy, origami, and the intricate techniques of Chinese paper cutting. Each activity was enhanced by the symbolic presence of the panther, adding a touch of elegance to the traditional arts experience.
Journey of Culture offered immersive workshops on the cultures of tea appreciation and guzheng (Chinese zither) performances. The timeless tradition of the Chinese tea ceremony was intertwined with the fascinating history of Cartier’s connection to Asia. This was all set against the backdrop of the dynamic sounds of the guzheng - a traditional Chinese instrument with a history spanning thousands of years.
