Dubai Duty Free kicks off 2025 with millionaire draws
Dubai Duty Free's first Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw of 2025 has produced winners from seven different nationalities, marking a strong start to the new year for the travel retailer's popular promotion program.
Dubai resident Robert Korbijn became the fourth Dutch national to win the retailer's Millennium Millionaire promotion since 1999, claiming the US$1 million prize in Series 485 with ticket number 0309. The 43-year-old chief financial officer purchased his winning ticket in Concourse D on December 7.
Indian national Arulraj Thavasimani joined the millionaires club after winning Series 486 with ticket number 0565, purchased in Concourse A. Thavasimani becomes the 244th Indian national to win US$1 million through the promotion.
Luxury vehicles complete the draw
The Finest Surprise draw included luxury cars and motorcycles, with Canadian Dominic Chaftari and Filipino Ayleen Dorothy Umali each winning a BMW X6 M Competition. German national Martinpa Wasielewski claimed a Mercedes Benz G 500.
The motorcycle winners included Dubai-based Indian national Abhilash Pachampully Balakrishnan winning an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100, Russian national Andrei Kadashov claiming an Indian 101 Scout, and Palestinian Maher Al Masri taking home a BMW R12 NineT.
The draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free senior management including Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi and Deputy Managing Director Salah Tahlak.
