Real Madrid and Avolta unveil new airport dining and retail concept
Real Madrid football club and Avolta have launched a new venue at Madrid's main airport. "The Corner by Real Madrid" opened its doors in Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, with a second location planned for Terminal 1.
The entire Real Madrid squad attended the opening ceremony, taking time out from their journey to a La Liga match in Mallorca. Club President Florentino Pérez and Avolta Executive Chairman Juan Carlos Torres led the proceedings.
Torres stated, "We believe airports are spaces where unforgettable experiences happen, and this partnership is another perfect example of how Avolta goes the extra mile to achieve this. With this new initiative, we aim to redefine what it means to wait for a flight, providing our customers with a place where they can purchase their favorite team's products, enjoy good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and, of course, the essence of Real Madrid."
The new space spans 100 square meters and features a bar designed to evoke the recently renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. It offers a menu of Spanish-inspired dishes and tapas, developed by Avolta's chefs at the company’s Center of Culinary excellence. Take-away options include sandwiches and salads, with vegetarian and vegan choices available.
Adjacent to the dining area, travelers can purchase official Real Madrid products. This offering extends to 11 duty-free shops across the country, which will stock a broader range of club merchandise and sports equipment.
The partnership between Real Madrid and Avolta reflects a trend in airport retail to create immersive brand experiences. By combining food service with merchandise sales, the companies hope to craft a stronger sense of place for travelers passing through Madrid's airport.
