Heinemann Oceania's Euro Summer campaign returns to Sydney Airport

Heinemann Oceania is inviting international travelers in Sydney Airport to “Make It Your Season” with the return of its Euro Summer campaign. Following the campaign’s successful debut last year, the 2024 edition features more brands and a chance to win holiday spending money.

Launched just in time for the Australian winter school holidays and for the Summer Olympics Games in Paris, the activation pops with a sun-soaked color palette reminiscent of the Italian Riviera. Each element of the activation is curated to evoke a Mediterranean summer, from the dedicated promoters’ breezy uniforms, to the cherry-red scooter parked in the display and the vibrant bougainvillea hanging from the ceiling.

Heinemann is holding a lucky draw for the first time. Shoppers stand to win a A$1,000 gift card every week of the campaign, with every A$100 spent in-store earning them one entry into the draw.

Participating brands are on-theme with the sunset aperitivo atmosphere, with Aperol, Cointreau, Ciroc, Taylors Wines, Chandon, Dolce & Gabbana, Sol de Janeiro and Le Specs joining the promotion to inspire and excite travellers as they embark on their very own Roman holidays.

“The holiday starts as soon as travelers clear security and enter our store so we are constantly looking for new ways to give them that extra boost of excitement for their destination,” said George Tsoukalas, Managing Director for Heinemann Oceania. “Last year’s Euro Summer event was such a success that we had to bring it back with an even bigger splash and even more reasons to shop.”

In addition to promoting the campaign through its website, social media channels and in in-store media, Heinemann has partnered with fashion and beauty content creator Olivia Scanu to boost awareness ahead of the Euro Summer travel season.

The activation runs for nine weeks across one of the busiest travel periods in the Australian calendar. Europe is one of the most popular travel destinations for Australians to escape to during their winter season: in July 2023, Italy was the third-most popular destination for Australian residents, with Greece, France, Spain and Germany all placing in the top 20.
