Lotte Duty Free celebrates Korea Beauty Festival
Lotte Duty Free is highlighting the Korea Beauty Festival, an event which will run until June 30 and targets foreign visitors to the country.
Lotte Duty Free’s Myeong-dong store has organized a promotional zone of the festival and K-beauty brands and is providing various programs and promotional offers.
The travel retailer set up a promotional zone on June 1, highlighting the festival and five popular K-beauty brands, on the 13th floor of its Myeong-dong store and is conducting various experiential activities. These include beauty classes introducing the latest K-beauty trends and brand styles to customers from more than ten countries, including China and the Philippines, and a makeup demonstration session. Participating customers said that through this event, they gained a deeper understanding of Korean culture and overall beauty trends and increased their satisfaction with Korean tourism.
In addition, Lotte Duty Free Shop is offering separate shopping benefits to customers who visit the downtown store. These include LDF membership gold level upgrade benefits, KRW10,000 (US$7) in Pre-LDF PAY that can be used for payments worth over US$50, discounts depending on the amount paid and free mask packs.
A Lotte Duty Free official said, “Lotte Duty Free has also prepared various events to successfully attract the Korea Beauty Festival and revitalize tourism in Korea. Through this festival, K-beauty tourism will be revitalized and more customers will visit Lotte Duty Free.”
Lotte Duty Free is currently operating a pop-up store featuring the global popular character ‘Snoopy’ in its Now in Myeong-dong store. The ‘Snoopy Market’ concept features over 500 character products and includes a photo zone and rest area. According to Lotte Duty Free, the pop-up store is gaining popularity through limited edition goods, various F&B products such as drinks and cookies, and events such as lucky draws, and the number of foreign visitors per day has increased by about 50% compared to January to May of this year.
