Lotte Duty Free Shop introduces ‘Celeb Shop’ to online offer
Lotte Duty Free is collaborating with leading social media celebrities and influencers in its new Celeb Shop
Lotte Duty Free has extended its online offer with a new ‘Celeb Shop’, featuring social media celebrities and influencers and over 160 products from 17 brands.
According to the travel retailer, the Celeb Shop is a first in the Korean domestic duty free industry.
Featured brands include Returnity (cosmetics), health food specialist Paper Bag, with Bodyco and The Park Ji in the fashion and jewelry categories.
Bodyco Founder Park Sunwoo boasts 480,000 Instagram followers while Minus Shake’s Choi Seon-jeong has 200,000 Instagram followers. Eight macro influencer brands, including Paperback, are highlighted in the store, with Lotte Duty Free planning to expand the offer. Gift with purchase offers are included.
Kim Won-sik, Lotte Duty Free EC Innovation Department Head, said, “Customer satisfaction is expected to be high as brands of famous influencers can be showcased at Lotte Internet Duty Free Shop. Lotte Duty Free Shop will continue to do its best to ensure that customers can experience a variety of duty-free shopping.”
Lotte Duty Free noted cumulative online sales from January to May of this year increased by approximately 80% compared to the same period last year. The travel retailer expects demand for overseas travel to increase further in the coming summer, and is strengthening its lineup of popular online duty free brands. Last April, popular French fashion brands Ami Paris and Maison Kitsune joined the online offer, with the liquor brands lineup also extended to include exclusive products such as the popular Japanese sake Dassai.
To celebrate the summer vacation season, Lotte duty Free is also offer discounts in selected categories. These include up to 45% discount on fashion, water toys, and food products, and up to 40% discount on swimming, golf, and tennis wear. Other discounts of up to 30% are offered on audio equipment such as speakers and headsets.
