Lagardère Travel Retail Peru launches duty free locker service at Jorge Chávez Airport
Smart Lockers at the Jorge Chávez International Airport
Lagardère Travel Retail Peru has teamed up with Lima Airport Partners and Inflyter to offer passengers at Jorge Chávez International Airport access to “Smart Lockers” in the international luggage area. This automated locker will allow passengers to do their shopping in the departure shop and pick up their purchases when they return to Peru.
The goal of this alternative shopping method is to increase customer service, conversion rate and number of clients. The automated machine features an interactive touchscreen that the passengers will use to enter a six-digit pin or to scan the barcode printed on their purchase receipt. After scanning their boarding pass and passport, the device will automatically open the corresponding door so customers can collect their items.
The locker will be positioned outside the Aelia Duty Free store at Arrivals, right next to baggage claim, to make it easier for clients to pick up their purchase and their luggage.
As noted by the company, this new offering is in line with Lagardere Travel Retail's goal to extend its shopping services and to provide the best possible experience to passengers of Lima Airport.
