Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire awards winner
The draw was conducted in Dubai International Airport's Concourse C
An Indian restaurateur from Dubai was announced as the latest US$1 million winner in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire at a draw held at Dubai International Airport.
According to a press release, "KP Ebrahim, a 51-year-old Indian national based in Dubai became a US$1 million winner in Millennium Millionaire Series 418 with ticket number 3185, which he purchased on March 9 in the Dubai Duty Free Arrivals Shop when he arrived in Dubai from Kerala in India."
A resident of Dubai for 30 years, Ebrahim has been a regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 10 years.
"Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free, for this opportunity to win in your amazing promotion," said Ebrahim. "I cannot believe that my perseverance has finally paid off. I will definitely invest more in Dubai with this win."
Ebrahim is the 209th Indian national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999 and Indian nationals are the biggest buyers of tickets.
The draws were conducted by Dubai Duty Free's Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Ramesh Cidambi, COO, Salah Tahlak, Joint COO, Sinead El Sibai, SVP - Marketing, Mona Al Ali, SVP – Human Resources and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP - Loss Prevention and Corporate Security.
After the Millennium Millionaire presentation, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for a luxury car and motorbike. Mohammed Khalifa, a Lebanese national based in Beirut, Lebanon won a BMW X5 M Competition (Tanzanite Blue Metallic) car, with ticket number 1499 in Finest Surprise Series 1834, which he purchased on February 26 in Dubai International Airport.
Shine Sidharthan, a 40-year-old Indian national based in Dubai won a BMW F 900 R (Blue/White/Red Metallic) motorbike, with ticket number 0068 in Finest Surprise Series 534, which he purchased on March 5 on his way to Rome, Italy for a business trip.
A regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 10 years, Sidharthan is a father of two and works as a travel consultant for DNATA.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free! I always believed that one day I would win, and it finally happened!” he said.
