By GTR Magazine Staff

The agreement is part of the company's sustainability ambition, "L'Oréal for the future"

L'Oréal has partnered with French state-owned Électricité de France (EDF) on a Power Purchase Agreement focused on renewable energy. This long-term program is based on two solar parks located in Corrèze and Vosges regions, where EDF will be able to produce 25% of L’Oréal's energy consumption in France.

"In line with our sustainability ambition 'L'Oréal for the future', our Group continues to move towards decarbonizing the energy we use and reducing our carbon footprint," said Antoine Vanlaeys, Chief Operations Officer of L'Oréal, in a public statement. "We are committed to achieving carbon neutrality at all our sites by 2025, by improving energy efficiency and using 100% renewable energy."

"I like this innovative and long-term partnership to be future-ready," he added. "Together, we are definitively pushing the boundaries to create a more sustainable world."
