To celebrate the holiday season, Lotte Duty Free Shop has created a digital card service that allows users to send Happy New Year wishes via their phones.

Users can choose between two types of New Year’s cards, each containing an image of popular Korean groups and Lotte Duty Free ambassadors, Aespa and Super Junior. Holiday messages can be sent in either Korean or English and in the case of Espa New Year’s cards, users can personalize their message.

The service can be used for free across official Lotte Duty Free SNS accounts such as Instagram and messages can be shared via channels including text message, KakaoTalk and Twitter.

The retailer has also presented a 5,000 won LDF PAY voucher that can be used like cash at Lotte Duty Free Shop to all customers who receive mobile New Year's cards. The expiration date is February next year.

"We introduced a mobile New Year's card service to strengthen customer communication," says a Lotte Duty Free official.

As previously reported, Lotte Duty Free Shop has recently renovated "Trip Talk," a travel information community within the mobile app, and newly launched "Challenge," a community where reviews and proof shots of purchased duty free products can be shared to strengthen online customer communication.
