A ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the DFS and NIA store reopenings at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi

DFS Group and longtime strategic partner in Vietnam Noi Bai International Airport (NIA) have celebrated the reopening of the duty free stores across Hanoi Airport’s departures and arrivals terminals.

VIPs and business partners joined DFS and NIA at Noi Bai International Airport on July 26 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and enjoyed a festive event filled with gifts, eye-catching live music performances, a fresh flower cart and spirits and wine tastings in-store.

In celebration, the store was also decorated with images of bamboo, a traditional Vietnamese symbol that represents the resilience and bravery of the Vietnamese people.

The occasion also marked the launch of DFS and NIA’s new co-branded partnership following 15 years of collaboration.

With seven stores and 1,700 square meters of retail space in both the departures and arrivals terminals, DFS offers more than 200 luxury brands. They include top beauty brands such as Jo Malone, SK-II, Chanel, Dior, Prada, Gucci and Tiffany; spirits brands such as Moët Chandon, Hennessy and limited-edition Macallan items; watch brands such as Longines; and popular local Vietnamese snacks and gifts.

“We are excited to celebrate the long-awaited reopening of our stores at the same time as launching our new co-branding with Noi Bai International Airport as NIA x DFS,” said Andrea Crippa, Managing Director Asia South, DFS Group.

“Noi Bai International Airport is the largest airport in Vietnam [in terms of total capacity] and a key gateway for travelers.

“The NIA x DFS stores demonstrate our commitment to our long-term strategic partner and our continued promise to delight our customers with prestigious, world-class luxury brands and unforgettable services.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy CEO, NIA: “We believe that the launch of the new brand NIA x DFS at Noi Bai International Airport will contribute to increasing brand recognition among passengers, fostering trust for them to do their shopping here.”

The reopening and co-branding celebrations continue throughout August, giving locals and international travelers a chance to enjoy special offers and exciting events.

From now through August 31, visitors to the NIA x DFS stores can redeem an exclusive Hanoi canvas tote bag upon spending US$150 in-store.

In addition, customers can enjoy complimentary spirits and wine tastings in-store hosted by spirits and wine ambassadors.
