R&F Travel Retail opens new duty free shop in Harwich
On Wednesday, July 20th, R&F Travel Retail opened a new duty free shop at the Harwich International Port, centered around convenient shopping.
"The concept is all about our customers and how to create a shopping experience as convenient as possible for them. Our idea is really simple: customers can drive to the shop, buy their full allowance and then simply put it in the trunk of their car and drive onboard the ferry, no heavy carrying needed," said Tony Michaelsen, Head of Business Development at R&F Travel Retail.
The store opening marks the third time that R&F Travel Retail is opening a duty free shop in the UK. R&F Travel Retail already has shops in Holyhead and Fishguard, with more to follow in other locations.
"We know that customers want convenience, and this is a great add-on service to the duty free shopping offered onboard the ferries. While we don’t offer a click&collect opportunity today, we plan to launch that functionality before the end of this year," said Michaelsen.
