Kilbeggan introduces first single malt

By GTR Magazine Staff

Kilbeggan 11 Year Old Batch #1 will be available exclusively at Dublin Airport as part of its official Irish Whiskey Collection

Beam Suntory’s Kilbeggan brand has officially launched its first-ever limited-edition single malt whiskey, Kilbeggan 11 Year Old, to travel retailers.

Kilbeggan Irish whiskey is made using traditional methods in Ireland’s oldest licensed distillery, established in 1757. The 11yo expression is described as a premium offering “full of character, flavor and creativity”.

Distilled in one of the world’s oldest working copper pot stills, Kilbeggan 11 Year Old (40%abv) is a distinctively smooth single malt Irish whiskey with hints of sweet fruits and a subtle spice as a result of its special cask maturation.

Matured in American bourbon casks and finished in Moscatel wine casks, Kilbeggan 11yo will be available exclusively at Dublin Airport as part of its official Irish Whiskey Collection, retailing at US$65.00.

Jorge Verdeguer, Brand Manager Global Travel Retail, Beam Suntory, said: “We are excited to announce the launch of Kilbeggan’s first-ever single malt, with the limited-edition 11 Year Old becoming available exclusively to Dublin Airport. Distilled in one of the world’s oldest copper pot stills, the liquid has been matured to perfection over 11 years. This brand-new addition remains steeped in tradition and has a rich flavor, creating a unique and original spirit which we can’t wait for consumers to try.”

Tracey Jordan, Liquor & Tobacco Buyer at Dublin Airport, said: “We are thrilled to add the limited-edition Kilbeggan Single Malt to our burgeoning Irish Whiskey Collection in both Dublin and Cork airports. We’re committed to offering our customers exclusive experiences and offers, and this 11 Year Old Irish Whiskey is truly unique and special.”
