The Shilla Duty Free Jeju Downtown store has announced decreased operating hours in April

The Shilla Duty Free Jeju Downtown store has decided to close for a total of 10 days in April including weekends and holidays. This decision comes after the tourism decline in Jeju due to COVID-19. Business continouly declined even after a reduction in business hours.

Closed days are 8 days of weekends, the 21st National Assembly Election Day(April 15), and the Buddha’s birthday(April 30).

An average of more than 3,000 people entered Jeju Island daily through Jeju International Airport last year, but all international flights coming into and leaving Jeju have been suspended recently, except for the temporary flight of Spring Airlines to and from China once a week.

The time of normalization of the business will be reviewed later after seeing the impact of the COVID-19.

Meanwhile, The Shilla Duty Free Jeju International Airport Store has also been temporarily closing as most of the international flights to/from Jeju have been suspended.
