Lifetime Achievement Award "a huge honor," says McLoughlin post-MEADFA
Colm McLoughlin, Dubai Duty Free EVP and CEO, celebrates the Lifetime Achievement Award with industry colleagues following the MEADFA Awards
Dubai Duty Free's Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin said he honored to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award presented at last week's MEADFA Awards in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
"I am delighted and very touched to receive this special award at the inaugural MEADFA Awards, it is a huge honour and I am very grateful to the MEADFA Board for nominating me and to the judging panel," McLoughlin said.
COO Ramesh Cidambi accepted the award on November 28 since McLoughlin was unfortunately unable to attend the MEADFA Gala dinner hosted by Bahrain Duty Free.
The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges McLoughlin for his outstanding contribution to the travel retail industry and his strong leadership of Dubai Duty Free since 1983.
The retailer also took home the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Award for its commitment to sustainability and promotion of environmental projects both within and outside the organization. Bitmore also received this award.
On the Sustainability and CSR win, McLoughlin said, "It is also terrific to be recognized for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. I attribute this recognition to our team of staff for their continuous effort in making our business successful and, of course, to our Chairman, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum."
