SwipBox and Peak Technologies unveil advanced Click & Collect system
SwipBox and Peak Technologies have joined forces to transform duty free shopping at airports with their innovative click & collect system. This novel solution integrates Peak Technologies' Click & Collect/ in-store retail solutions with SwipBox's advanced, app-operated lockers. Remarkably, these lockers do not need power, data connections, or permanent fixtures, allowing airports to relocate them as needed. Customers will relish the convenience of picking up their purchases any time, day or night, without waiting in line.
René Schrama, Managing Director at Peak Technologies Europe, highlights the system's flexibility, noting its quick installation time of just ten minutes and the ease of adding more lockers during busy periods. "Adding parcel lockers as a pickup option allows our retailers to offer customers a higher degree of flexibility. In fact, what attracted us to the Infinity solution was its flexibility as a whole; with the installation time of just ten minutes we can easily add more lockers when needed during peak periods such as busy holiday seasons,” he says.
Kasper Cort, SwipBox CCO, expressed excitement about partnering with Peak Technologies, a global powerhouse in retail technology. He sees their combined expertise in lockers, apps, and retail technology as a potent mix, offering an attractive solution not just for airports but for the wider retail sector. “It’s great to partner with Peak Technologies, who are so strong within retail technology globally. Coupled with our expertise in lockers and locker apps, we believe we have an attractive solution – and one that can be used not only in airports but in retail more widely,” Cort says.
The US-based Peak Technologies, known for their comprehensive technology solutions across various industries, will roll out this click and collect system in collaboration with SwipBox. SwipBox, a leader in the parcel locker market, has delivered over 40,000 lockers in more than 30 countries. The collaboration will see its first launch in one of Ireland's leading airports, with plans to expand to more retailers and logistics companies in 2024.
