Food Accademia launches five new items at Venice Marco Polo

Castagner Grappa Prosecco Ice, made in Italy’s Veneto region, was created to be enjoyed ice-cold as an after-dinner shot

Food Accademia is a distributor specializing in fine Italian wine & spirits, confectionery and food brands. Recently, this company launched three Italian spirits and two Italian food products in Venice Marco Polo Airport at Lagardère Travel Retail’s premium fine food & drink store, Bottega dei Sapori.

The three spirits are Maxi Milian Gin, an award-winning, triple-distilled, aromatic gin; Castagner Grappa Prosecco Ice, distilled from Glera grape pomace; and Intrigo Rosso Vermouth, a new vermouth from Spiriti Occulti.

Presented in 80g sachets, the nine flavours of Merì La Meringa del Doge include classic, lemon, strawberry, coffee, licorice, passionfruit, star anise, cinnamon and turmeric

The two food products are from Biscotto Farm, the renowned, artisanal confectioner. Merì La Meringa del Doge is a range of meringues made in the ancient tradition of pastry chefs; Rose Veneziane is a traditional biscuit with a shape reminiscent of desert rocks of the same name.

Lagardère Travel Retail opened the Bottega dei Sapori store in Venice Airport was opened in 2012 to promote the worldwide appeal of Italian fine food, wines and spirits, featuring typical specialties of different regions and a selection of prestigious wines.

Food Accademia began distributing in travel retail in 2017, specializing in unique and innovative Italian food & beverage brands.
