Summit of the Americas 2023 kicks off in West Palm Beach
The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) kicked off the 2023 Summit of the Americas tonight at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Michael Payne, President and CEO of IAADFS, said more than 1,000 attendees and 300 buyers are expected to attend the three-day event, many of whom arrived in time for the Opening Cocktail which took place inside this year due to a severe thunderstorm booming outside.
The program of the 2023 Summit of the Americas, which officially starts Monday morning with an welcoming comments from Rene Riedi, IAADFS Chair, will cover valuable education about the important issues facing the duty free and travel retail industry. The program topics include airports as the essential component of a vibrant, profitable and user-friendly travel retail business sector, opportunities facing the Americas duty free and travel retail industry, and global issues that impact the region.
