In memoriam: David Tillman
It is with great sadness that Global Travel Retail Magazine learns of the passing of David Tillman, a popular and well-loved figure in the travel retail industry.
Erik Tillman, son of David, announced his father's passing on August 9.
"He spent his last afternoon visiting with family and friends, shvitzing outside in the shade, and nibbling on strawberry ice cream," wrote Erik at CaringBridge.com.
Yesterday, the family shared that they are "extraordinarily touched by the outpouring of love and support," for the passing of David.
"We are very saddened to hear this news. David was an absolute pleasure to know in this industry," says Hibah Noor, Editor-in-Chief at Global Travel Retail Magazine. "We offer our deepest condolences to the Tillman family."

Some of you have generously asked about ways to help. There are three days before the funeral -- Thursday, Friday and Saturday that the kids will be centered at Laura and Jon's when having some ready meals would be greatly appreciated. I am coordinating this for the kids; please reach out to me directly.
