“A truly unparalleled experience”: ASUTIL looks forward to 2025 Conference

According to ASUTIL, Nexus symbolizes the convergence of innovation, opportunity, and collaboration in duty-free and travel retail

ASUTIL has confirmed that limited spaces remain for its 2025 Conference, titled Nexus, to take place at the Swissotel Lima, Peru, from June 3 to 6. The exclusive event is restricted to 300 places, with only 100 remaining.

According to the association, Lima, with its rich cultural heritage and dynamic business environment, provides an inspiring backdrop for this year’s conference. The city is also celebrating the inauguration of the renovated terminal at Lima Airport, featuring new duty-free stores and travel retail outlets. “This development is set to reshape our industry in the coming years, making Lima the ideal setting for our leaders to convene,” ASUTIL said.

This year, ASUTIL has reached several significant milestones:

• Registration opened earlier than ever before.

• For the first time in ASUTIL history, more than 50% of available spots were sold in just four weeks.

• Due to unprecedented demand, there are fewer spots available than ever before, with nearly 90 days remaining. The association is confident that this year will match Bogotá's success and achieve another sold-out event.

• The newly introduced exclusive registration window for 2024 attendees saw impressive engagement.

This initiative was developed because of the limited spaces available. During the 2024 TFWA Cannes Exhibition, one-on-one meetings were organized with key operators, suppliers, and brands to assess the feasibility of expanding the conference’s capacity.

“The overwhelming consensus was that the exclusive networking atmosphere at ASUTIL offers exceptional business opportunities,” ASUTIL stated. “As a result, they endorsed and appreciated the current event profile, reinforcing the decision to maintain its exclusive nature.”

Sponsorship opportunities

With a limited number of sponsorship opportunities for the 2025 event remaining, ASUTIL underlined the valued support of sponsors including Lagardère, Avolta, Siñeriz, Colonia Express, JTI, Campari, Bacardi, Heineken, Nestlé, Lindt, Republica del Cacao, Travel Blue, Cosper and TNT Bags, as well as media partners The Moodie Davitt Report, Global Travel Retail Magazine and TRBusiness.

The ASUTIL Conference will be hosted at the Swissotel Lima, a venue selected to enhance the distinctive social networking atmosphere that defines ASUTIL events. Delegates can look forward to a warm welcome at the Opening Session and Cocktail on the evening of June 3, setting the stage for the conference.

Speakers and networking

The lineup of speakers will feature a panel of leaders from the Liquors and Spirits sector, C-level speakers from the Cosmetics industry and experts on advocacy, consumer trends and economic forecasts.

Networking opportunities through a series of social activities include Peruvian culinary experiences, traditional dance performances and a Friday excursion to explore Lima’s historic landmarks.
