CEETRA members discuss plans for the future during the online AGM

The Central and Eastern European Travel Retail Association (CEETRA) met for an online Annual General Meeting today (February 21).

CEETRA Chairman Andrzej Milaszewicz (Lagardère Travel Retail Poland) presented last year’s activities while Alan Bork (ABARC) took attendees through the annual accounts.

Following through on the objective to increase the number of members, the board introduced representatives of Choco-Me Kft., Első Magyar Gin Manufaktúra, Gorzelnia Rolnicza and Montenegro Duty Free.

“Three of our new members are regional brands, thus representing the communities which are so important for our industry.” Milaszewicz said. “Travelers should connect with the region they are in, and no one can reflect this better than local producers in our airports.”

In his sum-up of last year’s activities, the chairman highlighted the two successful Travel Retail Forums, held in Budapest and Gdansk and both attracting an increased number of attendees. Feedback collected from participants confirmed that the format and content were well received.

CEETRA’s future plans include widening the focus of its activities into other regions and discussions on HR-related topics and the impact of latest technology on commercial activities in travel hubs.
