The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has revealed details of two major educational sessions for the 2025 Summit of the Americas, part of a four-workshop program accompanying keynote speaker John Price, Managing Director of Americas Market Intelligence (AMI), at the March 8-11 event in Miami.

"Airports: Major Challenges and Unlimited Opportunities" will examine critical revenue growth questions facing regional aviation retail. The March 9 session from 3:00-4:00 pm brings together Rafael Echevarne, Director General of Airports Council International Latin America & Caribbean, and Matt Cornelius, Executive Vice President of ACI North America, for a discussion on maintaining historic growth trajectories. With airports representing the largest revenue source for travel retail and duty free sales in the region, the session will explore how executives plan to sustain growth across retail, food and beverage, and duty free channels. IAADFS Chairman Rene Riedi will moderate with audience participation.

The following day's "Unlocking Footfall and Conversion: The Power of Experiential Retail in Duty Free and Travel Retail" session presents exclusive research on evolving consumer behavior. Scheduled for March 10 from 9:30-10:30 am, this special Americas edition of the TR Consumer Forum, organized by TRBusiness and m1nd-set, will examine how experiential retail can drive channel performance as traditional price advantages become less significant. M1nd-set Founder & CEO Peter Mohn will present research on experience-led activations' influence on consumer satisfaction and purchasing decisions, followed by practical insights from Sammy Patel, Vice President Commercial at Vantage Group and CEO of Midway Partnership, and Andy Machin, Managing Director of Kounter Retail. TRBusiness Managing Editor Faye Bartle will moderate the session, which previews the full TR Consumer Forum scheduled for June 2-4, 2025.

Additional cruise sector and industry sessions will be announced by DFNI and The Moodie-Davitt Report. The organization offers discounted registration through February 7, which coincides with the room reservation deadline, though early booking is encouraged due to limited availability.
