WiTR to host meeting for "members and friends" during TFWA AP Singapore
Women in Travel Retail (WiTR) is hosting a meeting for members and friends during the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore. It will take place on May 9 at the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge from 17:30.
According to the organization, "A special area has been reserved by TFWA for WiTR to catch up with old friends and make new connections at the first ‘normal’ post pandemic TFWA Asia Pacific event. WiTR’s membership is growing and members are welcome to bring others interested in joining to the event."
Actor, producer, writer, humanitarian and stand-up comedian Maitreyi Karanth with be joining for the first half hour of the event. Karanth is the founder of the Koma Karanth Foundation, WiTR’s charity for 2023.
"The Koma Karanth Foundation's mission is to build a KOMA community in the impoverished municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro (Philippines), providing homes, education, old age community centers, medical support and support for single women as they strive for self-sufficiency. WiTR’s project will be to raise funds of at least €15,000 (US$16,460) which will cover the cost of building three homes for the community."
