As the final day of the 2022 Summit of the Americas comes to a close, Michael Payne, President & CEO of IAADFS, gave a press conference saying overall, it was a success.

Payne says there was a total of 878 registrants, 269 buyers including both non-member and members. There were 292 suppliers and 239 exhibitors, plus other delegates and press.

“I feel good about those numbers,” Payne says. “And hopefully it builds momentum for next year.”

IAADFS will host the Summit at the Palm Beach County Convention Center again next year.

“People like the venue, I have to say. I have heard lots of feedback about that,” Payne says.

The Association plans to send out a survey to this year’s attendees requesting feedback about the experience and areas to improve for next year. Payne says some of these areas of focus already include discussions on the use of a big expo hall, meeting spaces and booth options, the number of learning sessions, better access to food and beverage at the Convention Center and relocating the registration area.

“We want to open the dialogue to folks on how to make things easier,” Payne says. “It’s a learning. We’ll figure it out.”
