Canada Goose and Frankfurt Airport Retail (FAR), a joint venture between Gebr. Heinemann and the airport operating company Fraport, opened the performance luxury brand’s travel retail store at Frankfurt Airport. The store is located in Terminal 1 in the non-Schengen area in Atrium Z. This is Canada Goose’s first travel retail store in an airport, marking its official debut in the travel retail sector.

"We are very proud to celebrate a true world premiere with the opening of the new store and to join Canada Goose on its entry into the travel retail market," said Georg Fuhrmann, Managing Director of FAR.

Richard Hoyer, also Managing Director of FAR, added, "The busy Terminal 1 is the optimal environment to reach luxury shoppers, offering travelers a highlight with its wide product range."

Founded in 1957, Canada Goose is a performance luxury brand headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Its year-round product offering spans all seasons and lifestyles for men, women and children.

“Canada Goose’s first-ever airport travel retail store is a milestone and I am excited to unveil it to the world. We know luxury consumers seek us out when they’re traveling so being available to them as they take off on their next adventure presents a meaningful opportunity for us. Frankfurt is only just the beginning,” said Christian Konrad, SVP of Travel Retail Worldwide at Canada Goose. “Gebr. Heinemann is a true travel retail expert. Their team has shown great dedication to our brand and have played an important role in successfully ushering in this new chapter.”

In its boutique at Frankfurt Airport, travelers will be able to shop the brand’s current collection and most iconic pieces, including parkas; lightweight jackets for rain, wind and beyond; apparel, including fleece and knitwear; and accessories from waist packs and beanies to gloves and scarves. The store’s design complements its fleet of global stores: a space that brings to life performance luxury with a clean and modern aesthetic, and elevated materials such as stone, granite and wood.

"Canada Goose has taken an important strategic step by launching a completely new distribution channel," said Jan Richter, Director Purchasing FAWJ at Gebr. Heinemann. "Our reputation as a reliable and trustworthy partner has enabled us to take this step together with the brand. The cooperation between FAR, Canada Goose and Gebr. Heinemann has been very constructive and cooperative and we are very happy to be able to expand our spectacular assortment with such an important luxury player."
