Munich Airport receives two Skytrax awards

Munich Airport has received two awards at the 2023 Skytrax World Airport Awards. At the prize ceremony held during the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Amsterdam, the airport was awarded recognition for “Best Airport Staff in Europe” and “Best Airport in Central Europe.”
"We are particularly proud that our airport staff is ranked as the best in Europe. The awards are a recognition of the commitment and hard work of our entire airport team, especially during the challenges posed by the sudden recovery and increase of air traffic following the pandemic", said Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport in a press release.
Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, added, "We congratulate Munich Airport on this important 2023 customer award. The last few years have been extremely challenging for airports around the world, and following the COVID-19 pandemic, it is positive to see passenger numbers returning to normal and Munich Airport being recognized by its customers as a leading hub."
