The Italian wine group producer, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, rebranded to Herita Marzotto Wine Estates in February, underlining its family heritage while at the same time shifting the focus to all of the Herita Marzotto wine estates.

At the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore (Basement 2, E18), the iconic Venetian estate Santa Margherita will introduce a sparkling new limited edition and travel retail exclusive Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG. Export Director Giacomo Marzotto is quick to highlight the company’s strong back story, its ability to combine tradition with innovation, and its unwavering focus on quality and sustainability.

Founded in 1935 by his great-grandfather Count Gaetano Marzotto in Fossalta di Portogruaro, Venice, the company is still firmly in the hands of the third generation of the family. It ranks as one of the leading players in the world wine scene, with a turnover of more than €248 million (US$280 million) in 2024, and over 25 million bottles sold in more than 90 countries around the world.

"My great-grandfather was a man of excellence, a social entrepreneur whose vision was before its time, centered on people, nature and technological innovation, revolutionizing the way wine was consumed not just in Italy but also around the world," explains Giacomo Marzotto. "His focus on product quality, authenticity, sustainability and the wellbeing of his workers – all part of the HERITA DNA – is something we want to share with current and new partners in travel retail at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition. Through our ten estates – nine in Italy and one in Oregon, USA – HERITA has premium wines to meet the preferences of traveling consumers in the region."

"Our roots are in Italy"

Herita Marzotto Wine Estates embrace the Italian peninsula from north to south and extend beyond the ocean, with a total area of 748 hectares: from Eastern Veneto to the Adige Valley, from the hills of Valdobbiadene and Refrontolo to Franciacorta, from Alto Adige to Lugana, from Chianti Classico to Maremma, from Sardinia to Oregon.

The HERITA portfolio includes ten estates and brands, including Santa Margherita, Torresella, Kettmeir, Ca’del Bosco, Cà Maiol, Lamole di Lamole, Tenuta Sassoregale, Cantina Mesa and Roco Winery.

"Santa Margherita is the beating heart of the Group and it is fitting that we are launching a magnificent new Prosecco Superiore, which is both a limited edition and exclusive to travel retail, at the Singapore event. This is a clear indication of our belief in the strength of the wine category in travel retail," adds Giacomo Marzotto. "Travel retail is a comparatively recent ‘love’ for the company but one we are very focused on because of its incredible value that is not only commercial but also communicational. It’s aligned with a new way of engaging the customer that is not only through a great product and packaging but through multiple touchpoints which ensure customer engagement and purchases. We will be in Singapore as Herita Marzotto Wine Estates celebrates 90 years of outstanding production and looks forward to another 90 as a leader in the wine category. We look forward to sharing our story, our passion and our outstanding wines with visitors to this key event."

Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is a celebration of “the Venetian attitude." Packaging and label design details take inspiration from the Italian city’s timeless elegance, light reflections, architectural forms and the magnificent windows to offer a Prosecco which speaks exclusivity and authenticity. Further details will be revealed during the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, with other HERITA expressions to be highlighted along with selected wines from its extensive portfolio.
