Teremana celebrates Earth Day with new sustainable packaging initiative
Teremana teams up with Gebr. Heinemann to introduce a new limited-edition tote bag
In celebration of Earth Day, Teremana the premium, award-winning tequila founded by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has unveiled a new sustainable packaging initiative for global travel retail.
The natural silk-based bags debut this week at Teremana’s Share the Mana activation in Gebr. Heinemann’s store at Frankfurt International Airport. Travelers will receive the limited-edition, biodegradable bag with every purchase of Teremana. The bags eliminate plastic waste, while maintaining the premium experience consumers expect from Teremana.
The initiative is grounded in the spirit of Sharing the Mana, a philosophy at the heart of Teremana, bringing people together through gratitude, sharing good energy and doing the right thing for communities and the planet. At Teremana, that means crafting tequila with care and partnering with those who share these values. Sustainability has long been a core focus, with 100% of leftover agave fibers being turned into compost for the agave fields.
Designed by packaging innovator INOArmor, the packaging incorporates proprietary ‘silk pillow’ technology, a natural, impact-resistant and biodegradable material proven to withstand a 10-foot drop onto concrete without damage. This innovation offers a durable and eco-conscious alternative to traditional foam and plastic, supporting Teremana’s continued investment in responsible practices from production to packaging.
Share the Mana, Teremana’s high impact activation campaign, plays an important role both educating consumers on tequila and introducing Teremana. At the Frankfurt pop-up consumers can taste the three expressions: Teremana Blanco (€49.99, approx. US$57) in the Teremana Grapefruit Highball, Teremana Reposado (€54.99, US$63) and Teremana Añejo (€64.99, US$74).
