Everrich unveils limited-edition Lunar New Year whiskies

Taiwan's OMAR Whisky commemorates the Lunar Year of the Snake with twin releases matured in bourbon and sherry casks, marking the distillery's continued expansion in Asian luxury spirits
Everrich Duty Free is marking the 2025 Lunar New Year with two exclusive whisky collections that blend traditional craftsmanship with seasonal symbolism. The retailer has partnered with award-winning Taiwanese distillery Omar and Scotland's family-owned Glenfarclas to create distinctive offerings that target both collectors and gifting occasions.
The Omar Year of the Snake Limited Edition features two expressions, each restricted to 180 bottles and available exclusively through Everrich Duty Free's Taiwan locations. The virgin oak expression (US$121) showcases intense woody aromas complemented by white pepper and cinnamon notes, while the bourbon barrel variant (US$118) presents incense and angelica root aromas that develop tropical fruit notes of dried mango and ripe pineapple when water is added.
The packaging design incorporates geometric patterns and bold color contrasts that symbolize the wood and fire elements associated with the Year of the Snake, emphasizing themes of innovation and transformation.
The Glenfarclas Floral Spring Series 2001 Single Cask showcases the distillery's mastery of sherry cask maturation, featuring notes of spring botanicals and orchard fruits. Limited to 612 bottles
Glenfarclas's contribution to the Lunar New Year celebrations comes in the form of the "Floral Spring Series." The collection comprises the brand's 17-year and 25-year classic single malts, alongside an Everrich exclusive 2001 Single Cask Original Whisky. The 17-year expression, with its sherry-influenced profile and lingering sweetness, targets female whisky enthusiasts, while the 25-year offering caters to connoisseurs seeking aged expressions.
The series features packaging that draws inspiration from Taiwan's natural environment, incorporating butterfly and flower motifs alongside Year of the Snake elements. The 2001 Single Cask Original, distinguished by its amber-gold color, offers caramel and mild spice notes that appeal to collectors.
These releases align with Everrich's ongoing commitment to promoting Taiwanese art and culture through brand collaborations, creating unique experiences for traveling consumers.
